With Melbourne going into the longest lockdown in the world I took the time to work on my film making skills. I was accepted into the Sundance Collab, Sundance Institute and took two classes that really helped me develop as a Director. The first was with cinematographer Bill Dill and was all about visual storytelling. The second was the fundamentals of directing with Alex Smith. Through both I started to understand my story telling style and also my 'why' which is pretty simple. I just want to bring joyful stories to the world. My stories tend to focus on identity, love, secrets and the idea of we don't really know anyone or what goes on behind closed doors. The below piece is my interpretation of the scene we were given to Direct starring the actors Ana Isabel, Gary Wall and Jess Fyffe. Shot by Konrad McCarthy, writteby Alex Smith and Directed by me. It needs a little sound design on it but it's a pretty good example of my storytelling style.

My Super Family children's book series

Bronny is the author of the children's book series My Super Family. These books are distributed by Peribo and available online and in book stores. The series features diverse families and focuses on the messages of love, safety and security. Inspired after having her daughter on her own, Bronny wrote My Super Single Mum in 2010 with five books following. The books have been reviewed and sold world wide and feature in multiple best of series. They are the perfect book to explain different family types to children or for children to feel empowered by their own family situation. Bronny describes the books as her virtual hug to all the children of the world.

Boo & Mouse Go To New York

Bronny and her long time collaborator Fleure are currently working on Boo & Mouse Go To New York. This is the first in a new series of books for children that explore the world. Each book will have a colorful front and back cover whilst the inside of the book will be a coloring in book. In each book Boo & Mouse will have a new adventure in a different part of the world. The book will educate children about different parts of the world and cultures whilst also providing relaxation through drawing. Bronny and Fleure hope this series will become the perfect travel companion for children giving them something to do that also provides relaxation and a release for anxiety.
